Onboarding now builds an editable learner profile from real evidence

Learners can now combine a curriculum vitae, professional links, and written background into an evidence-grounded profile, review every suggestion, and safely resume or skip the flow.

Onboarding can now turn the information a learner already has into a profile they control before Upsoma personalizes anything.

  • Learners can combine written background, a curriculum vitae, LinkedIn, and GitHub without losing structured employment or education details.
  • Evidence extraction identifies skills and experience from the full document, enriches them with bounded public GitHub signals, and keeps the strongest supported proficiency when sources agree.
  • Processing runs in resumable stages, reports progress as it happens, and safely handles retries, concurrent requests, provider failures, and expired work.
  • Every suggested skill and profile section can be reviewed, edited, or removed before confirmation; learners can also add a missing skill themselves.
  • Confirmation saves the accepted profile atomically, while Skip removes unconfirmed documents and evidence without resurrecting stale background work.
  • The canonical /onboarding, /home, and /paths routes now work with the centered authentication flow, compatibility redirects, and an explicit legacy rollback route.
  • Privacy-safe product events, structured logs, metrics, traces, and evaluation gates make the journey observable without sending submitted evidence into telemetry.
