Rising skills: market demand now shapes your path

Upsoma now computes a live market-demand signal from real job-posting observations and puts it to work: paths teach in-demand skills sooner (never breaking prerequisites), your remaining gaps are ranked by what the market wants, and a new Rising card shows trending skills in your domains you don't have yet.

What you learn should track what the market wants - now it does.

  • A demand signal computed from real skill observations in job postings: per-role and overall cuts, refreshed automatically after every ingestion run, with the exact formula version stamped on every number.
  • Path generation now uses it: when two skills are otherwise equal, the one the market asks for more comes first - and demand can never jump a prerequisite, so paths stay pedagogically sound. The weights used are frozen onto your path.
  • Your readiness summary ranks remaining gaps by demand and flags the ones the market wants right now, so "close a gap" advice starts where it pays most.
  • A new "Rising in your domains" card on My Paths surfaces trending skills you haven't built yet - one click starts a path toward any of them.
  • Nothing is invented: every demand-powered surface stays hidden or unchanged until real observations have been computed.
