The compatibility client accepts the learner's next response whenever the conversation is ready, including after an explanation that did not ask a fixed question. It keeps older question replies working, preserves an unsent draft across a page refresh, and asks the learner to refresh when the server requires a newer conversation contract. This client remains unmounted until the native path backend is ready.
