Upsoma partners with CareerPalz to turn learning into careers

Learning only matters when it leads somewhere. For thousands of international students, immigrant jobseekers, refugees, and asylum seekers, the hardest part isn't the studying - it's translating new skills into an actual internship or job in an unfamiliar system.

Today, we're announcing a partnership between Upsoma and [CareerPalz](https://careerpalz.org/), a 501(c)(3) workforce-development nonprofit, to close that gap. Together we're connecting structured, personalized learning with the mentorship and job-search support that turns a pathway into a paycheck.

Why CareerPalz

CareerPalz is an educational and workforce-development nonprofit based in Gilbertsville, Pennsylvania. Their mission is simple and urgent: help people launch and build careers in corporate America as a community. They support international students on CPT, OPT, STEM-OPT, and J-1 visas, immigrant jobseekers on H-1B and J-1 visas, refugees, and asylum seekers - all virtually, across the United States.

What drew us to CareerPalz is that they meet learners where the real friction is:

  • Mentorship from people who have navigated the same visa and hiring hurdles.
  • Job-search strategy built for the realities international and immigrant candidates face.
  • Community that keeps momentum going long after a course ends.
We've always believed a learning path should end at a destination, not a certificate. CareerPalz gives our learners that destination.

What the partnership unlocks

This partnership brings Upsoma's personalized pathways together with CareerPalz's proven career programs. Here's what it means in practice.

For learners

Learners building skills on Upsoma can now flow directly into CareerPalz's mentorship and job-search programs. Instead of finishing a pathway and wondering "what now?", you get a clear next step: guidance from mentors, interview preparation, and a community working toward the same goal.

For mentors and partners

CareerPalz mentors gain visibility into the structured pathways their mentees are working through, so coaching conversations start with real context. Colleges, universities, and corporate partners get a clearer line from skill-building to job readiness.

Built for the people who need it most

International students and immigrant professionals do some of the hardest work in the labor market - proving themselves in a new country while navigating visas, timelines, and systems that weren't designed with them in mind. They shouldn't have to navigate it alone.

By combining Upsoma's learning platform with CareerPalz's career community, we're building a single path from I want to grow to I got the job.

Get involved

If you're a learner, explore CareerPalz's free programs and start a pathway on Upsoma today. If you're a college, university, or employer that wants to support international and immigrant talent, CareerPalz partners with academic institutions and corporations - and we'd love to build alongside you.

This is just the beginning. We'll share more on joint programs and outcomes in the coming months.
